Who We Are

Team RUSH is committed to improving and fortifying math and science education while offering its team members an opportunity to develop a fundamental understanding of respect, team unity, competitive spirit, and the gracious professionalism that is the heart of every successful venture. Team RUSH has an uncompromised focus on positive moral values, and uses that focus to reach out to its community, create world-class design process, mold future leaders, build competitive robots, and most importantly...have fun!

Team RUSH is a group of students from Clarkston High School and OSM Tech Academy who in partnership with mentors, curriculum, community, corporate partners, and parents gain knowledge and important life skills. Members of Team RUSH have enthusiasm for science, technology, and engineering; as well as a growing thirst for knowledge. The students and mentors on the team are a very dedicated group of people, especially during build season; when countless hours are spent designing and building a quality robot. The members of our team show Respect, Unity, Spirit, and Heart everywhere they go. When it comes time for our members to graduate, it is often hard for them to let go; this team was their family and friends. Upon leaving, it is difficult for the alumni not to come back and help the team; they often provide us with mentors, sponsorships, and much appreciated financial aid.

Metaphorically, Team RUSH is a tree. The roots are our alumni, giving us a strong foundation to stand on. Our parents and mentors are the trunk, holding us up and stretching us toward the sky. The leaves are people we inspire to have an interest in science and engineering. The students are the blossoms growing and learning through their experiences. The fruit are the graduating class getting ready to leave the tree and spread their message of FIRST and RUSH where ever they go. The fallen fruit are the mentors and alumni spreading their seeds throughout the world. The rain is our sponsors bringing us the water and nutrients we need to survive. And FIRST is the sun, shining its message down on the world. Team RUSH is FIRST.
