On October 01-02, 2010 Team RUSH held their annual Retreat, a teambuilding and training session wrapped up in an overnighter at a farm house. From Friday night to Saturday afternoon team members learn presentation skills, teamwork skills, as well as brainstorming and manufacturing skills. They also learn more about the team history and the current teammates, promoting a unique bonding experience that lasts the rest of the season and more.

In 2009, Team Members spelled out "RUSH" after the Football Clean-up during the retreat (after each football game, we clean up the stadium to help out the district - and raise some money). On this particular night, (2010) - our RETREAT night, we decided to take advantage of the outdoor lights AGAIN and spelled out our Team name RUSH, again, but this time, we are laying down because we didn't think last years pictures worked as well! Fail Faster ... one year later, we learned more, focused and execute!

During the RUSH Retreat, we have so much to cover! Here we are going over our "direction" and "history". You cannot move forward unless you know where you came from!

Students are working on the Engineering challenge - one of the exciting activities during the retreat!

For the third year, Team RUSH kicks off their season with the Annual RUSH Retreat! Usually the second Friday night in November, the students and mentors of Team RUSH all gather at the "Baylis House", a home where we will all spend the night. It starts with a "clean up" of the grounds. From trimming trees and shrubs back to raking and pulling the grape vines off the trees, it is the goal of the RUSH team to give back to the district by cleaning the yard.
Upon darkness, they all enter the house. At this point, training of all kinds occurs. From learning about the Geese, to FISH tales, to Colors (personality training), to multiple forms of team building, this is the training of a lifetime! This year, we specifically spend a good portion of the time working on updating our mission statement and vision! Team RUSH has declared the direction that the team is going!
